1. What is henna / Mehndi ?

Henna is the dried leaf and tem powder of the plant Lawsonia inermis, a small bush 3-4 feet tall, which can grow to 3 to 4 meters in height. This actually grows in hot climate like India, pakistan, Sudan, Egypt etc. But Rajasthani Indian Henna is known as the best coloring henna in the world.

Mehndi is another word for henna, and represents the art of decorating the body with intricate and detailed patterns and artwork. The art itself comes from the Indian culture, and women and men there have been using it for thousands of years.

No Indian wedding is ever complete without the Mehendi.

2. Why should I choose Shivani Henna Art for bridal mehndi services?

Your wedding day is certainly the day of utmost important. Beautiful henna applied by us will be reflected in your wedding photographs which you will cherish for life long. This day is certainly not for your friend or relative to experiment on you. If so, this is just too risky!!! You would certainly want your wedding pictures to be a recall medium of golden memories and as a preservative for your future generations to come.

Shivani Henna Art provides tailored and professional bridal mehndi services. We are specializing in traditional and Arabic bridal mehendi. We can add a touch of class to your event to embellish with elegant henna design.

3. How much you charge for bridal henna consultation?

We do not charge for bridal henna consultation. Contact us for free henna consultation and early booking! We can also give trial for bridal Mehndi, which is free for the bride if she choose to book with us. Otherwise small fee involved.

4. How much you charge for bridal henna?

Visit our website photo gallery for all henna design. These are our standard designs and rates usually very depending on the designs, styles, length and intricacy. You can choose the design that fits your needs and i'll be more than happy to customize it for you.

5. How much you charge for henna party?

Henna party price are depends on the design, style, length and intricacy. Book an appointment to discuss the price.

6. How many days in advance should I get the mehndi done to get the best possible colour for my wedding ?

Your mehndi needs to be applied 2 to 3 days before your wedding day to get the best possible stain.

7. How long it will take to apply?

Its depends on the design you choose. We will provide you estimated time.

8. How long should I leave the paste on my skin?

The henna paste dries within 30 minutes. Keep the henna paste as long as possible. The longer the past stays on the skin, the darker the stain will be.

9. How long henna colour last?

Henna colour last up to 1 to 4 weeks. The color of henna different on everyone, it depends on your body temperature level and how well one takes care of henna. We will provide you detailed instructions of how to take care of your henna to get the best colour.

10. Why henna stain is not dark on the arm as on the palm ?

The reason is the difference in the skin. The palms of hands and soles of feet have very much thicker skin, it has more layers of skin cells than any other part of the body. It is just not possible to get a henna color to be as dark on the arm as on the palm. Which is normal.

11. Are there any side effects while using the henna?

Our henna is made out from the best henna plants grown in India and the henna paste is self made fresh to get the perfect colour. It has no chemical or dye added and is completely safe.

12. Does this artwork belong to you ?

Yes all of the images on this page are of my artwork and belong to me.

13. How can I book for my bridal henna party?

Step 1: Contact us

Fill out the Inquiry form and we'll get back to you as soon as possible. You will be advised to look at photo gallery.

Step 2: Consultation & Trial

Book your appointment for free bridal consultation to discuss and choose designs. We can also give you trial for bridal Mehndi, which is free for the bride if she choose to book with us. Otherwise small fee involved.

Step 3: Deposit

All booking are secured only through deposits on a first come first served basis. Paying a deposit gives you peace of mind that your mehndi dates are secure. We will provide you the details of your booking.

The deposit can be paid in cash or online via PayPal or EMT to shivanihennaart@gmail.com

14. Do you provide service at our location?

Yes we do travel. We come to you. There will be separate charge for travel & parking.

15. Do you sell henna cones and henna powder?

Yes we do sell henna cones & powder.

16. Do you do tribal tattoo for men?

No. we don't do tribal tattoos for men.

17. Do you do henna for Eid, Chaand Raat or karwa/karva chauth henna ?

Yes we do. Please book an appointment in advance. Thanks

18. Black Henna Warning

The Black Henna has a chemical ingredient called para-phenylenediamine (PPD). This chemical PPD may cause an allergic reaction include red skin rashes, contact dermatitis, itching, blisters, open sores, scarring and other potentially harmful effects. As such, “black henna” ink and paste containing PPD is not considered safe. We do not add any chemicals in our henna paste.

Shivani Henna Art is pleased to accept orders subject to the Terms and Conditions of services and store policy posted on www.shivanihennaart.com or provided to you. Please read the terms carefully before placing your order. 

Please provide us with your name, phone number and shipping address. We're currently accepting Canadian orders only. We ship only within Canada.

All orders are sent via Canada Post which is a flat rate based on the weight and shipping address, as well as packaging and handling fees. Shipments are sent out within 3-5 business working days of receiving payment. Please note that there is no shipping on Saturdays and Sundays or Statutory days in Canada. We are not responsible for delayed shipping of the product. All sells is final. No refund. No Exchange.

If you choose to pick up from us then you don't need to pay for the shipping. you can also transfer payment via email transfer to shivanihennaart@gmail.com
